As you may be aware, the City of Charleston, Department of Traffic and Transportation, has partnered with the Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) during its regional outlook, to embark on an effort to update our City-wide Transportation Plan. With this in mind, we’d like to invite you to a three-day Public Design Workshop starting on October 25th from 6-8 p.m. at Boomtown in the upper peninsula (1505 King St. #101) and commencing on October 27th.

Please feel free to bring associated materials (maps, reports, etc.) to assist the consultant team. This will be an informal discussion that will allow us to identify key issues, problem areas and potential solutions to those issues. Different than the usual visioning process, the City has the goal of developing Concept Designs for 13 transportation projects specific to our community (10 intersections and 3 corridors) that can be prioritized for Federal and State funding in the future, but we need your help.

To get to this goal we need public input that helps guide the decision making process. We’d love for you to be a part of this process. So spread the word and RSVP to . You may also check out the website for more information, a community survey, and mapping tool:

Thank you for your commitment to community and we hope to see your face in the place on October 25th- October 27th, 2017.
