At this business etiquette luncheon, we will address some of the most common etiquette issues that arise in the business setting. For example, what is the best way to start a conversation at a business reception? Should you say, "Nice to see you," or is it, "Nice to meet you"? After what time period is it considered rude to return a call? When asking someone to lunch, who decides where to eat? On what side of your shirt should you wear your nametag?
Last year, Charleston won the top spot for the second consecutive year for the most mannerly city in the United States. Thus, having confidence that you understand the basic (and not so basic) rules of business etiquette can be especially rewarding for young professionals in a city such as Charleston, which places a high premium on manners and etiquette. So don't find yourself embarrassed at your next office meeting or office reception -- come learn important lessons in business etiquette at our upcoming luncheon!
Cindy Grosso of the Charleston School of Protocol will discuss important etiquette rules that will benefit those in the workplace, and give several tips that are especially useful for young professionals.
Cynthia R. Grosso is a corporate etiquette expert. She has been a speaker, teacher and consultant in this arena for more than 15 years, and is the founder of the Charleston School of Protocol and Etiquette. Ms. Grosso has appeared as an etiquette expert on the Dr. Phil Show, Oprah, written about in Woman’s Day Magazine, Marie Claire Magazine, The New York Times, Esquire Magazine, BusinessWeek Magazine, Golf Digest as well as many others. Ms. Grosso focuses on the critical ten percent….“the polish”, needed for business people to compete and grow in the corporate environment.
